white-magic-make-upI’m having a white make up moment (following my neon one!).  From products that will help to refine your complexion – Dior Pore Minimizer Skin Refining Matte Primer, £28.50, works wonders on an oil-prone complexion – to make-up that will add a gentle “pop” of brightness to your face – white works its magic. The brilliant thing about white is that it “cleans” and freshens up your face, definitely the case with Guerlain’s Blanc de Perle Compact Foundation, £45, which has three face-sculpting shades, including a brilliant white to add luminosity. If you just want to brighten your eyes, white does it like no other shade. MAC Eye Shadow in Blanc Type, £12.50, can be used as a base over the whole lid, and if you want something creamy and shimmery, I love Givenchy Ombre Couture in Top Coat Blanc Satin, £18. White pencils, such as NARS Larger Than Life Longwear Eyeliner Pencil in Santa Monica Blvd, £19 or MAC Eye Kohl in Fascinating, £14, in the water line or inner corner to make you look like you’ve had 8 hours kip! If you want to add a highlight, Clarins Mineral Eyeshadow Smoothing and Long-Lasting, £19, in 01 White Sparkle Illuminator, has a soft sheen and works well on the inner corner, centre of the lid or brow bone. If you’re not feeling bold enough to put white on your face, you can’t wrong with it on your nails – it looks crisp and sharp. Make sure your nails are up to it! Keep them neat and well-groomed. For a long-lasting pure white, try Nails Inc Nail Enamel in Floral Street, £11.
