clarisonic-aria-cleanserI’ve been a fan of the Clarisonic Aria for several years. I saw it in Allure magazine (the beauty bible for industry insiders) and a soon as I set my eyes on it, I had to have it. At the time, it wasn’t available in the UK, so I bought one from Sephora in America with a voltage adaptor so I could use it in the UK. There was no stopping me! I love the fact that the Clarisonic Aria utilises the same technology that super-charged toothbrushes and used it to create a sonic facial cleansing gadget.  I also love the fact that my skin feels unbelievably clean.  It’s proven that it cleanses six times more efficiently than cleansing manually, which isn’t an exaggeration.  Although it comes with a cleansing gel, to be honest, you can use any gel-based or foaming cleanser but not a cream or liquid as this will just clog up the device.  To get the full benefits, take off your make-up first, using your normal eye make-up remover and cleanser. The Clarisonic Aria is not, I repeat, is not a make-up remover! It’s for deep-cleansing your skin post-make-up removal.  Apply some foaming gel or water to your face and then use the Clarisonic Aria to cleanse each part of your face for the required amount of time – about 20 seconds on my cheeks, forehead and chin and 10 seconds on my cheeks – and using a gentle motion and pressure. There are 3 different speeds so adjust according to your personal preference. There are also a variety of brushes – the super-luxurious cashmere brush is perfect for sensitive skin, as it cleanses and comforts in one.  Really, I wouldn’t be without my Clarisonic now. It’s one of the beauty tools that I think is totally worth the investment.  The Clarisonic Aria, £155, is available from www.clarisonic.co.uk.
