Get ready for party season with this grown up glamorous look – Kept modern with the use of clever and subtle makeup to stop it looking too severe and dated.

Prepare the Skin before hand, the better the prep the less makeup you need on the skin. I like to exfoliate first to slough away dead skin and follow with a serum for intense hydration and a beautifully smooth base.

Massage a face cream all over the face, neck and decollete, CHARLOTTE TILBURY’S MAGIC CREAM is a great suits everyone moisturiser. If your eyes are suffering RHOTO COOL EYE DROPS will make them sparkle reducing any redness, giving you an instant boost.

If you want a strong colour on the lips the time to apply lip balm is now, this gives it time to hydrate the lips prior to colour application.

After applying LAURA MERCIER RADIANCE PRIMER I used HOURGLASS VEIL SKIN FOUNDATION working from the centre of the face outwards to avoid over applying particularly at the edges. My favourite concealer is by CLEA DE PEAU however it is not readily available in the UK, a great dupe is the SHISEIDO PERFECTING STICK it’s creamy texture is perfect for working in to the skin. Once blended set with RMS UNPOWDER for a gossamer finish.

Brows should be defined without being painted on.  I personally use CHANTICAILLE’S BROW BRUSH with ANASTASIA OF BEVERLY HILLS BROW DUO for a finish that is subtle yet adds great definition.

Line the eyes carefully with my favourite eye liner pencil from HOURGLASS (1.5 MM GEL LINER) it’s incredibly precise and can be used on the waterline. Apply a thin line along the upper lash line and outer corner with a little flick. To widen the eyes NARS DUAL INTENSITY SHADOW in EUROPA looks beautiful on the brow bone and inner corner of the eyes. Layer with HIMALIA on the lids and under the lower lash line, layering deeply on the upper crease line.

I’ve left the cheeks low key with just a hint of DIOR ROSY GLOW

For a wide eyed effect curl eyelashes before applying mascara. LANCOME HYPNOSE VOLUME-A-PORTER really builds volume and defines for maximum impact.

Remove any remaining lip balm from the lip surface and prep with a tiny bit of foundation. I love the latest luxury formula from BOBBI BROWN in YOUR MAJESTY a beautiful burgundy red.

This is a grown up and glamorous look – kept modern with the use of clever and subtle use of make up to stop it looking too severe and dated.

Don’t forget to blend everything well with good tools and brushes. And as the hair is pulled back make sure the base is applied on the ears and below the neck all the way to the back of the neck so everything-looks polished and refined.
