With a career in the beauty industry spanning 25 years, Ruby has become one of the best-known, loved and respected make up artists in the business. Strongly believing that make-up shouldn’t be a mask, she urges women to use make up to emphasise their best features and to embrace what’s unique about their face.
“I have always had a passion for make up from my earliest memories of seeing my late beautiful Mum making herself up, through the ages to this day. I can’t pick up a product without trying it and seeing what transformation it can bring.”
With no formal training in make up artistry, Ruby started her career as an assistant to a make up artist backstage at London Fashion Week, and through this apprenticeship, she learned her craft on the job. Her work has appeared in the glossiest magazines and has worked on location around the world, from Paris to Palm Springs, Miami to Mauritius, with many of the world’s most celebrated photographers, hairdressers, art directors, stylists and models.

Ruby has supported many charities and organisations over the years. Macmillan Care will forever be close to her heart; having witnessed their incredible and unforgettable care first hand, when her mother was diagnosed with a terminal cancer in 2011.
Joining the Pink Ribbon Foundation and raising breast cancer awareness was only natural for Ruby as a woman. She was delighted to be involved and to wear the Think Pink t-shirt. Last but not least, she sponsor’s two children, a boy and a girl, through Plan International and World Vision. Blessed with a healthy daughter of her own, by supporting these charities, she can make an active difference to the lives of two deserving children who aren’t so fortunate.
